Head Coach: Liz Carpentier

 

2015-2016 will be Coach Carpentier's first year as Head Coach for the Farmington Tigers. This will be her 12th year as a head varsity coach. She is looking forward to coaching the Tigers in the competitive South Suburban Conference, working with the youth programs, and developing a positive and winning program!

 

Formerly, she spent the last 8 seasons as the Head Coach at Eagan High School. She was named Section 3AAAA Coach of the Year in 2015. Carpentier has also coached in the North Suburban Conference and the Tri-Metro Conference. She is a native of Eagan where she was a 1999 graduate and a letter winner in soccer and basketball. She continued her education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in Social Studies Education. During that time she also competed on the St. Olaf Women's basketball team. 

 

Currently, she is part of the Minnesota High School Girls Basketball All-Star Committee. The All-Star Series is held every April showcasing the state's top seniors in each of the four classes. Coach Carpentier and her husband Rob reside in Farmington. She stepped away from teaching 3 years ago to stay at home with their three small children, Matthew (7), Gianna (6), and Ryan (1).

9th Grade Coach:  Amanda Schilling

 

Coach Schilling, known as Profe Schilling in the classroom, teaches Spanish 2 and 4 at the high school. This is her third year at Farmington, where she also coaches Track and helps with cross country in addition to basketball. Coach Schilling grew up in White Bear Lake, MN where she played basketball starting in 3rd grade. She played soccer, and was on the Track and Cross Country teams. She went to Saint Cloud State University where she got her degree in Spanish education and competed for their Cross Country and Track teams. Furthermore, Coach Schilling is a huge fan of Lindsay Whalen and Ricky Rubio and a fan of The Lynx and Timberwolves! She is looking forward to her first season as part of the Farmington Tigers Girls Basketball coaching staff!

Junior Varsity Caoch: Tom Cross

 

Tom Cross comes to Farmington with a long history of coaching girls’ basketball. Cross has coached for over 25 years at the high school level including 8 years as a head coach.”  T. C. “  was head coach at both Archbishop Brady high school and St. Agnes high school. He coached at Cretin Derham Hall for 15 years which included a state championship. The last 4 years he coached at Eagan high school with Liz Carpentier. Last year’s team took second in the South Suburban Conference.  Cross works at Dakota County Technical College in student life and is the head women's softball coach. In the fall, he coaches football at Hastings  High School. He is a graduate of Concordia St. Paul. Cross has coached at the collegiate and high school level for over 35 years.
